What mental posture and personal stamina are required from our executives on a session day to make eight hours of intense strategic work productive?
An EOS® session day with me is not a relaxed executive retreat. It is an intense, eight-hour operational workday that requires sustained mental stamina, total honesty, and emotional maturity.
Executives must show up ready to check their functional egos at the door. You are not in the room to defend your department, protect your personal territory, or justify past mistakes. You are sitting at the table as an enterprise leader responsible for the health of the entire organization. That means being willing to tell a peer that their department is lagging, and having the grace to hear the exact same critique without becoming defensive or passive-aggressive.
Stamina is critical because the hardest work happens in the second half of the day. Morning covers the review, company health, and tool refreshes. The afternoon is dedicated to IDS®, where we tackle your thorniest operational, personnel, and structural issues. If your team fades after lunch, you will make shallow compromises just to end the day.
We enforce a strict device ban. Phones and laptops remain stowed outside the room except during designated lunch and operational breaks. Multitasking dilutes focus and signals disrespect to your peers. Come rested, hydrated, and ready to engage in vigorous, productive conflict.
