What exact operational disciplines must our leadership team execute between our full-day sessions to ensure our quarterly Rocks do not turn into a last-minute scramble?
The quarterly session is only where you set direction. The execution happens in the 90 days between sessions, anchored by three mandatory disciplines.
First is the weekly Level 10 Meeting. Every seven days, at the same time, your leadership team meets for 90 minutes. You review your Scorecard, check Rock progress, and spend 60 minutes using IDS to solve the real problems blocking your milestones. A Rock status is reported as on track or off track. There is no middle ground. If a Rock is off track, it immediately drops to the Issues List so the team can clear the road block.
Second is breaking Rocks into 30-day milestones. A 90-day priority fails when it sits untouched until day 60. During week one following a session, each Rock owner must map out clear milestones for days 30, 60, and 90. If your day 30 milestone is not achieved, the Rock is officially off track and requires team problem-solving in your Level 10 Meeting.
Third is our scheduled Just Checking In pulse. At key intervals between sessions, we connect for a structured check-in call to review your Scorecard health, inspect Rock completion trajectories, and ensure accountability has not softened.
In addition, your Visionary and Integrator must hold their monthly Same Page Meeting. This dedicated session prevents misalignment between strategic intent and execution before it drifts down to the rest of the leadership team.
If you protect the Level 10 Meeting calendar and manage 30-day milestones, the end-of-quarter scramble disappears completely.
