We want to introduce AI to expand our operational capacity, but we are worried some team members do not have the GWC to use these tools effectively. How do we objectively evaluate if an employee has the cognitive and conative capacity to adopt AI workflows in their current seat?

To successfully adopt AI in your business, you must ensure that the team members responsible for running these workflows actually have the GWC™, which means they Get it, Want it, and have the Capacity to do it. You can use a structured assessment framework to evaluate this objectively.

First, evaluate if they Get it. Do they understand how AI tools function, the limitations of LLMs, and why data security is critical? Second, assess if they Want it. Are they intrinsically motivated to learn these new technologies, or are they resisting change out of fear? You can observe their natural reactions to see if they are open to new processes.

Third, evaluate if they have the conative Capacity. Use their Kolbe Index scores to understand their natural approach to problem-solving. A team member with a high Follow Thru score will excel at maintaining and adhering to the structured AI prompts and workflows you establish. A team member with a high Fact Finder score will be excellent at auditing the AI's outputs for accuracy. If a team member lacks the cognitive or conative capacity for their new AI augmented seat, you must address this mismatch on your Accountability Chart.
