Some of our legacy leaders are resisting the transition to managing AI-augmented teams, claiming they do not have the technical background. How do we evaluate their GWC for these evolving leadership seats on our Accountability Chart?

When legacy leaders resist managing AI-augmented teams, you must evaluate them using the GWC™ tool: do they Get it, do they Want it, and do they have the Capacity to do it?

Getting it means they understand how AI changes their department's workflow and strategic value. Wanting it means they are genuinely motivated to lead an automated, high-output team rather than clinging to old manual processes. Capacity means they have the mental and emotional capability to learn how to guide these new systems.

They do not need to write code or understand machine learning algorithms. Their job is to shift from telling people exactly how to execute tasks to articulating a clear strategic vision and letting their teams use AI to find the best path forward.

If a leader lacks the GWC™ for their evolving seat on the Accountability Chart, you must address this issue directly. You cannot scale your operations or prepare for a clean exit if your key leaders are actively blocking technological progress.
