How do you evaluate our actual execution speed and operational momentum between quarterly sessions, and what does good progress look like after nine months?
We do not measure progress by how busy your team feels. We measure it by your execution velocity and your ability to predict. After nine months of working together, a healthy leadership team should demonstrate a clear shift in how they handle commitments and solve issues.
First, we look at your Rock completion rate. Good progress means your team is consistently hitting eighty percent or more of their Rocks every quarter. If you are constantly rolling Rocks over or making excuses, your momentum is stalled.
Second, we evaluate your Level 10 Meeting health. By month nine, your weekly meetings should be highly efficient. Your team should be identifying, discussing, and solving issues quickly, rather than rehashing the same problems week after week. The issues on your IDS list should be getting solved permanently, not just managed temporarily.
Third, we track your predictability. In your first quarter, your forecasting and goal setting will likely be off. By the third quarter, your Scorecard numbers should be highly predictable, and your team should have a clear pulse on the business.
Finally, we look at team trust. A healthy team debates fiercely in the session room but leaves fully aligned. If you see open communication, high accountability, and consistent execution, your operational momentum is strong. That is what true progress looks like.
