We want to upgrade our workflow with automated AI systems, but we are not sure our current team has the technical capacity. How do we use the GWC tool to evaluate if our existing staff can manage an AI-powered operating environment?
Introducing AI-powered operations can trigger anxiety in your leadership team and staff. To successfully upgrade your workflows, you must ensure you have the right people in the right seats, which is where the GWC™ tool becomes critical.
GWC™ stands for Get It, Want It, and Capacity to Do It. When we look at migrating to AI-driven workflows, we evaluate each team member's seat on the Accountability Chart using these three filters.
First, do they Get It? Do they truly understand how AI tools alter their daily tasks and the overall flow of information? Second, do they Want It? Are they genuinely motivated to learn these new systems, or are they secretly resisting because they fear being replaced?
Finally, do they have the Capacity to Do It? This is where technical capability comes in. They do not need to be software developers, but they must possess the cognitive capacity, time, and aptitude to manage and oversee automated systems.
If a team member fails any of these three filters, we have a GWC™ issue that must be addressed. We use this objective assessment to identify where training is required or where we must make hard decisions to transition legacy staff out of seats they can no longer perform, keeping your transition to AI smooth and metrics-driven.
