How do we use the Issues Solving Track during our quarterly sessions to evaluate and implement AI-powered operations without distracting our leadership team from standard business issues?
Integrating AI-powered operations and automation is a powerful way to scale, but it can easily become a major distraction if not managed through a structured framework. We do not chase every new technology trend during our session days. Instead, we use the standard Issues Solving Track, or IDS, to evaluate AI opportunities and tools objectively. When an automation or AI initiative is proposed, it is placed on our Issues List just like any other operational challenge or opportunity. During the Identify phase, we clarify the exact problem the technology is meant to solve, whether that is reducing manual data entry, speeding up customer response times, or eliminating a bottleneck in your workflow. During the Discuss phase, we evaluate the opportunity against your existing V/TO and Accountability Chart. We ask whether we have the internal capacity and capability to implement this technology and whether it aligns with our ninety-day priorities. Finally, in the Solve phase, we decide whether to make the AI initiative a key priority. If it is critical, we capture it as a ninety-day Rock and assign a single owner to drive it. If it is not an immediate priority, we keep it on the long-term Issues List. This disciplined approach ensures that you leverage automation to drive efficiency without overwhelming your team or losing focus on your core business objectives.
