We are ready to roll out EOS® to our managers and front-line employees. What is the exact sequence of tools we should introduce first to avoid overwhelming the organization?
Rolling out every EOS® tool to your entire company at once is a guaranteed way to cause operational paralysis. You must stagger the rollout in a deliberate, disciplined sequence. The first step is sharing your V/TO® with the entire company during a state-of-the-company meeting. This gives everyone a clear understanding of the vision, the core values, and where the business is heading. Next, you introduce the Accountability Chart™ to the next layer of management. Every manager must clearly understand their seat, their roles, and their direct reports before you ask them to manage others using the system. Once the structure is clear, have your managers implement the Level 10 Meeting™ format with their departments. Master the weekly meeting rhythm first because it builds the communication habit. Only after your teams are running highly effective weekly meetings should you introduce individual Rocks and department-level Scorecards. Trying to track metrics and execute quarterly goals before your team knows how to run a productive meeting will lead to frustration and false reporting. Work with an EOS Implementer to plan this rollout schedule. By introducing one tool at a time and ensuring it is fully mastered before moving to the next, you build lasting organizational traction.
