What are your non-negotiable ground rules regarding cell phones, laptops, and client emergencies during our full-day sessions?

Our session room operates under strict rules of engagement designed to protect your most expensive investment: your collective executive time.

Rule number one is lids down and phones away. Laptops remain closed unless an executive is explicitly designated to take notes or update software tools directly. Mobile devices are silenced and placed face down or stored off the table. If an executive is glancing at notifications, checking email, or texting managers under the table, their attention is fractured and the room suffers.

Rule number two is no stepping out for standard business operations. Your organization must learn to function for eight hours without you. If an executive leaves the room to take a client call, answer a routine staff question, or respond to an operational issue, it signals that the business cannot survive without constant micromanagement. Part of the value of this process is exposing your operational dependencies. When you disconnect entirely, you see where the business actually breaks.

We take five to ten-minute breaks every ninety minutes, alongside a structured one-hour lunch. If you have urgent messages to return, handle them during those defined windows.

The only exception to stepping out is a true crisis, such as a major server outage, a serious legal threat, or an immediate human safety hazard. If such a disaster occurs, you step out, address the situation, and return. Otherwise, you owe your full, undivided attention to the strategic health of the business and your fellow leaders.
