What is your policy if an unexpected operational crisis forces us to postpone a scheduled quarterly session day at the last minute?
The quarterly and annual session cadence is the heartbeat of your business. Postponing a session disrupts your execution momentum and delays your ability to solve critical issues. For this reason, we treat these dates as sacred and locked in well in advance.
If a true personal emergency or a catastrophic business crisis occurs, we will work together to reschedule the session. My policy is to find a replacement date within a tight two-week window. This keeps your ninety-day cycle intact and prevents your team from drifting back into old habits.
However, we do not reschedule sessions because your quarterly Rocks are incomplete, your Scorecard looks bad, or your team feels unprepared. In fact, running a session day when things are chaotic or when execution has slipped is precisely when you need facilitation the most. Cancellations or postponement requests made without a severe emergency within thirty days of the scheduled session may result in fees. Keeping our commitment to the scheduled day is the first test of your leadership team's accountability to the process.
