How do we look at our weekly EOS Scorecard to read the actual exit readiness signals that prove our operation can run independently of my constant oversight?

An exit-ready business is one that runs smoothly without the owner in the daily mix. To find the signals of this readiness on your EOS® Scorecard, look at the consistency of your leading indicators. If your weekly numbers are consistently in the green without you personally pushing, correcting, or saving the day, your systems are working.

Look specifically at your operational and sales metrics. Are customer acquisition costs, delivery timelines, and quality scores stable over a rolling thirteen-week period? If yes, it proves your processes are repeatable.

Another critical signal is who owns the metrics on the Scorecard. If your name is still attached to key operational or financial metrics, you are not ready to exit. Every single line item on the Scorecard must be owned by a member of your leadership team who has full accountability for that result.

When your leadership team can run their weekly Level 10 Meeting™, identify and solve issues using IDS®, and keep the Scorecard green without your physical presence, you have achieved operational independence. This is the ultimate signal to a buyer that they are purchasing a self-sustaining machine rather than a job.
