Our leadership team arrives at the Level 10 Meeting with unupdated Scorecard numbers and scrambles to pull data live. How do we establish strict Scorecard data hygiene across the company?

If your leadership team is pulling metrics live during the Level 10 Meeting, your Scorecard is already broken. A Scorecard is an operational pulse, not a homework assignment to complete while sitting around the conference table.

Enforcing Scorecard hygiene requires clear rules and zero tolerance for casual reporting:

- Set a hard data deadline: Establish a strict cutoff, such as 24 hours prior to your Level 10 Meeting, by which all owners must update their numbers.
- Maintain single-seat accountability: Every metric must have exactly one named owner who is personally accountable for the integrity and timeliness of that number.
- Enforce the blank rule: If a number is not entered before the deadline, that metric is automatically marked red and off track. No excuses, no live spreadsheet math, and no verbal approximations during the meeting.
- Drop chronic misses to the Issues List: If an executive regularly fails to update their metrics on time, the metric is dropped to the Issues List not as an operational miss, but as an Accountability Chart and GWC issue.

When an executive arrives unprepared, they force the rest of the leadership team to wait on administrative clerical work. Treat the Scorecard as non-negotiable operational data. When reporting is automatic, your team spends meeting time solving business problems rather than hunting for spreadsheets.
