How do you track our team's progress using the EOS Organizational Checkup, and what score benchmarks should we hit as our engagement matures?
The EOS Organizational Checkup is an objective diagnostic tool consisting of twenty questions that measure your business across the Six Key Components: Vision, People, Data, Issues, Process, and Traction. We administer this checkup at the start of our engagement and repeat it periodically to quantify your progress.
When most leadership teams take their initial checkup prior to Focus Day, their baseline score typically falls between 40 and 55 percent. This score reflects standard entrepreneurial reality: an unclear or unshared vision, inconsistencies in key seats, incomplete scorecards, unresolved issues swept under the rug, undocumented processes, and undisciplined quarterly execution.
Our explicit benchmark across the engagement is to guide your business to 80 percent or higher across all Six Key Components.
By the end of your first year, after completing your foundational tools and three quarterly cycles, your score should reliably reach the 65 to 75 percent range. Your leadership team should share 100 percent clarity on your V/TO, your Accountability Chart seats should be populated with people who pass GWC and share your Core Values, and your weekly Level 10 Meetings should be running consistently.
In year two, as we roll tools down to departmental tiers, document your Core Processes, and integrate advanced operational or AI efficiencies, the score should surpass the 80 percent mark company-wide.
We do not accept artificial score inflation. If your checkup score reads 85 percent but your Rock completion rate is under 80 percent or your Scorecard numbers are red, we use IDS during your quarterly session to identify the operational disconnect and fix the underlying execution issue.
