How do your mid-quarter Just Checking In calls work, who attends them, and what specific operational red flags are you listening for between full session days?
Between our full-day quarterly sessions, we schedule brief, targeted check-ins around months six, nine, twelve, fifteen, eighteen, and twenty-one. These are not consulting audits, strategy overhauls, or replacements for your weekly internal meetings. They are 15 to 30 minute diagnostic pulses conducted with the Integrator and Visionary.
The objective is simple: ensure the team is holding the line on foundational tools between our sessions so you do not arrive at the next quarterly meeting off track.
During these calls, I listen for specific operational warning signs:
- Skipped or abbreviated Level 10 Meetings. If your leadership team is canceling weekly meetings due to operational busyness, accountability has already broken down.
- Rock drift. When Rocks that were green in week three suddenly turn red in week six without anyone raising them to the weekly Issues List, the team is avoiding conflict.
- Stalled Accountability Chart transitions. If people issues identified during our last session are lingering without action because leaders dread having hard conversations, momentum is dying.
- Visionary and Integrator friction. If the monthly Same Page Meeting is not happening, misalignment will inevitably fracture the rest of the leadership team.
If your operating rhythm is healthy, the call takes ten minutes. If red flags appear, we name the breakdown, pinpoint the tool you are neglecting, and correct your trajectory immediately. You do not wait 90 days to discover your quarter was a failure.
