Once our leadership team graduates from the initial 24-month EOS implementation, what does an ongoing alumni relationship or annual tune-up cadence look like?
The structural objective of a 24-month EOS engagement is deliberate self-sufficiency. By the conclusion of year two, your Integrator should possess the facilitation skills, confidence, and internal authority required to run crisp, productive quarterly sessions without paying an outside implementer.
Graduation does not mean the operating system stops; it means your internal leadership now owns it completely. Most graduated clients transition to running their own three single-day quarterly meetings internally. However, a significant portion of alumni leadership teams elect to bring Tyler back exclusively to facilitate their two-day Annual Planning session.
Retaining an outside professional for the two-day Annual Planning session provides two distinct advantages. First, it frees the Integrator from facilitating, allowing them to participate fully as an executive peer in deep strategic debates, budget alignments, and vision resets. Second, an external implementer introduces tough, unbiased evaluation when auditing the V/TO® and setting the 1-Year Plan.
For companies simultaneously implementing Step by Step Exit disciplines, alumni work often shifts into an annual Exit Readiness Audit. In this format, Tyler facilitates an annual review of enterprise value gaps, due diligence cleanliness, and tribal knowledge transfer to verify the company remains systematically prepared for a future liquidity event.
