What is the exact purpose of the mid-quarter Just Checking In calls, and how do you prevent them from turning into operational status meetings?
Just Checking In calls occur approximately thirty and sixty days into each quarterly cycle. They are brief, thirty-minute conversations held with the Integrator and Visionary. Their sole purpose is to monitor tool adoption, evaluate organizational health, and identify execution drag long before the next full-day session.
These calls are deliberately not operational status updates. Tyler does not review project deadlines, customer deliverables, or financial line items. Instead, the focus remains entirely on process fidelity. Tyler assesses whether the leadership team is running weekly Level 10 Meetings without skipping weeks, whether Rocks are tracking at or above eighty percent completion, and whether the company Scorecard is highlighting real operational red flags.
If the Integrator reports that a specific executive is falling behind on Rock completion or that the team is failing to resolve issues during IDS® (Identify, Discuss, and Solve), Tyler provides immediate facilitation coaching. The call ensures the Integrator possesses the practical tools and conversational leverage necessary to enforce accountability internally. By keeping the conversation strictly centered on the operating system itself, these check-ins protect leadership from drifting back into old, undisciplined habits between full-day sessions.
