One of our top-performing sales directors is consistently missing our weekly Level 10 Meeting because they claim they are too busy closing deals and serving clients. How do we enforce meeting discipline without hurting our sales revenue?
You must realize that allowing a top performer to skip the Level 10 Meeting sends a message to the entire company that your operational rules do not apply to everyone. This destroys team trust and undermines the integrity of your implementation. The Level 10 Meeting is the heartbeat of your operations. It is not an administrative update; it is where you solve critical issues that affect the entire organization. When your sales leader skips it, they miss out on cross-departmental problem-solving, leaving other leaders blind to sales updates and customer feedback. You must have a direct conversation and explain that being a leader in this company requires active participation in the leadership team. Use the GWC tool. If they do not want to attend the meetings or do not have the capacity to make time for them, they do not GWC the seat. You cannot trade short-term sales revenue for long-term organizational health. Enforce the boundary. If they are truly too busy, help them delegate lower-value tasks to create room in their calendar. If they simply refuse to prioritize the team, you have a People Analyzer issue that must be resolved.
