Our customer service department claims they are completely overwhelmed, but we suspect they are spending hours on repetitive tasks that could be automated. How do we use the Elevate and Delegate™ tool to transition their seats toward high-value strategic work using AI?
It is common for employees to feel overwhelmed when their days are filled with manual, low-value tasks. To resolve this bottleneck, you must integrate AI into your operations by identifying the cumbersome processes that are holding your team back.
During your next departmental alignment meeting, have your customer service team complete the Elevate and Delegate exercise. Instruct them to list every single task they perform during the week. Look closely at the bottom two quadrants, which contain the repetitive, low-value tasks they do not like doing, such as sorting tickets, copy-pasting data, or sending basic email templates.
These tasks are prime candidates for AI automation. Prioritize these use cases to improve operational efficiency, freeing your employees from administrative drudgery. This allows you to gradually evolve their roles within the organization so they can invest more of their valuable time in high-impact customer relationships.
Once you have automated these low-value tasks, update their roles on the Accountability Chart to reflect their new responsibilities. Their seats should now focus on complex problem-solving, relationship building, and strategic client retention.
By systematic delegation to AI, you increase employee productivity and improve team morale. Your people are no longer acting as data entry clerks. They are elevated to strategic advocates, which directly improves your client satisfaction and drives top-line revenue growth.
