Can we use AI to document our core processes so we can finally scale, or does that just create a bunch of useless, generic SOPs nobody will read?
If you ask AI to write your standard operating procedures from scratch, it will generate generic, bloated templates that your team will ignore. That is not how you build a strong Process Component. To document your processes effectively using AI, you must capture your actual proprietary way of doing business. Have your key employees record a quick video of themselves performing a task, explaining their decisions out loud as they do it. This captures their natural conative approach and practical expertise. Feed that transcript into a secure AI tool with a highly specific prompt. Instruct the AI to extract only the core steps, key milestones, and critical checklists. Tell it to write the document in a simple, punchy, numbered format. This approach takes the burden of writing off your high performers while ensuring the resulting SOP is based on reality, not generic theory. Once the AI generates the draft, the seat owner must review, refine, and sign off on it. You will end up with a lean, highly accurate set of processes that your team will actually follow, making your business scalable and ready for an exit.
