We have rolled out Level 10 Meetings™ to our department heads, but critical decisions and strategic updates made at the leadership level take weeks to reach the frontline teams, or get distorted in translation. How do we create a clean, immediate cascade of information between our leadership meeting and departmental Level 10s?
The delay in cascading information happens because you do not have a formal process for what needs to be shared downstream. To fix this, use the last five minutes of your leadership Level 10 Meeting™ during the Wrap-up phase to explicitly identify Cascading Messages.
Look at your completed To-Do list, solved Issues, and Headlines from the meeting. Ask the team: What did we decide today that our departments must know? Write these down as bullet points.
Each leadership team member is then responsible for bringing those exact bullets to their respective departmental Level 10 Meetings™ within twenty-four hours. This ensures that the message is consistent and immediate across the entire Accountability Chart.
Additionally, use your internal communication tool to post these bullet points in a read-only channel for the entire company. Do not leave the translation to chance. By formalizing the cascade as a weekly checklist item in the Wrap-up, you build a tight, double-loop feedback system. This keeps every tier of your operation aligned and eliminates the rumors or delays that stall execution.
