When departmental Level 10 Meetings™ run in silos, they create operational blind spots. Your leadership team cannot solve systemic issues if they do not know what is happening on the front lines.

To bridge this gap, you must establish a clear issue escalation process. If a departmental team identifies an issue during their IDS® session that they cannot solve, or that impacts other departments, it must be escalated. The department head must bring this issue to the leadership team's Issues List before the next weekly meeting.

Conversely, the leadership team must use the cascading messages portion of the wrap-up to share key decisions with departmental managers. This ensures everyone is working from the same V/TO® and aligned with the company goals.

Make it a habit to audit the departmental Issues Lists occasionally. If you see the same issue popping up across multiple departments, it is a sign of a larger, structural problem. Bring that issue to the leadership Level 10 Meeting™ to solve it permanently, ensuring your operations remain simple and scalable as you prepare for a clean exit.
