We know clean data is required for AI, but our team consistently fails to input complete records. How do we structure our Accountability Chart and use the GWC tool to solve this data hygiene problem at the human level?
Many owners try to solve data hygiene by buying expensive database cleaning tools, but this only treats the symptom. Poor data is a human behavior problem, not a technology problem. To prepare your company for AI, you must first define clear accountability for data entry using your Accountability Chart.
Every piece of operational data must have a clear owner. If your CRM data is incomplete, look at your sales and account management seats. Review the roles on your Accountability Chart and explicitly add data hygiene as a core responsibility for those seats.
Next, run those team members through the GWC tool. Do they truly understand the importance of complete records, do they want the responsibility, and do they have the capacity to maintain it? If a team member cannot or will not keep their records clean, they do not GWC the seat. You cannot plug AI into a database where the human inputs are erratic.
Additionally, add a leading data completeness metric to your weekly Scorecard. For example, track the number of new client profiles with missing fields. By measuring this weekly, you create healthy pressure to keep the database pristine. Once your team is consistently hitting one hundred percent data compliance, you are ready to connect AI tools that can safely query your database to generate accurate operational insights.
