Our leadership team just completed our Focus Day™ and we want to roll EOS® out to our entire company immediately rather than waiting. Why shouldn't we bypass the recommended rollout timeline?
It is natural to feel a surge of excitement after your Focus Day™, but rushing to roll EOS® out to your entire company too fast is a major mistake that often leads to implementation failure. The proven process is designed with a specific sequence for a reason. Your leadership team must master the tools first before you can successfully teach them to anyone else.
During the first eighty to ninety days of your implementation, your leadership team is going through its own learning curve. You are learning how to run an effective Level 10 Meeting™, build a predictive Scorecard, write clean Rocks, and clarify your Accountability Chart™. If you attempt to roll these concepts down to your managers and staff before your leadership team is highly disciplined, you will create mass confusion.
Your staff will quickly spot any inconsistency. If they see leadership team members ignoring their own Scorecards or failing to finish their Rocks, they will dismiss EOS® as just another corporate program of the month. Working with an EOS Implementer ensures you introduce the tools at the right time. Give your leadership team at least one full quarter of running on the system to build muscle memory. Once you are consistently executing, you can confidently cascade the tools down, ensuring a smooth, highly aligned rollout that actually sticks.
