During Headlines, team members often share glowing customer praise for heroic saves that actually reveal broken internal processes and unauthorized discounts. How do we separate real customer headlines from operational issues hiding in plain sight?

A true headline in the Level 10 Meeting is purely informative. It shares major customer wins, critical personnel updates, or personal milestones that keep the leadership team connected. It requires zero discussion, zero troubleshooting, and zero defense.

The moment a customer headline involves heroic employee intervention, unusual favors, or irregular discounts, it is not a pure headline. It is an operational breakdown wrapped in positive sentiment. When an account manager stays up all night manually fixing data, or an operations lead offers a fifty percent credit to keep a furious client happy, the client might be thrilled, but your standard operating process failed.

Apply this filter immediately during the five-minute Headlines agenda item:
- Did this positive outcome happen because our core processes worked as designed? If yes, celebrate it for ten seconds and move on.
- Did this positive outcome require manual heroics, skipped quality checks, or unauthorized concessions? If yes, it is an issue.

The Integrator must intercept these updates immediately. Thank the leader for sharing the customer sentiment, then state clearly: We are glad the customer is happy, but our delivery process broke down to get that result. That is an issue. Drop it to the Issues List as client delivery failure or unauthorized pricing adjustments.

Do not let customer compliments blind your leadership team to internal chaos. Real scale and enterprise value require repeatable systems, not individual heroics covering up broken gears.
