Our Integrator has been facilitating our Level 10 Meetings™ for over a year, and the energy has become incredibly flat and predictable, but we do not want to rotate facilitators and lose our meeting discipline. How do we inject new life and focus back into our weekly pulse?

It is a misconception that keeping the same facilitator means the meeting must become a boring routine. The weekly Meeting Pulse is designed to be highly structured, but structure should provide freedom and focus, not a sense of dread. If your meetings feel flat, it is usually because the team has stopped treating the Level 10 Meeting™ as a competitive environment and started treating it as a checklist.

First, check your meeting ratings. If your team is consistently giving the meeting a polite eight, they are lying. Challenge them to give real feedback during the wrap-up. If a meeting felt flat, rate it a six and discuss why. Second, the facilitator needs to change their pacing. Facilitation is an active, energetic role. The Integrator must bring high intensity to the room, keeping transitions sharp and cutting off rambling discussions immediately.

Third, look at your Issues List. If you are bored, you are likely solving boring, low-level operational noise. Clear out the minor administrative tasks and focus on the hard, scary issues that are actually holding the company back. When you are tackling meaningful, high-stakes problems, the energy in the room will naturally rise. Keep the discipline, but raise the stakes of what you are actually solving.
