What cultural readiness, internal transparency, and operational baseline must our leadership team commit to before we sit down for our first session?
Before we step into a room together, your leadership team must agree to three non-negotiable operational commitments. If these conditions are not met, the process fails before it starts.
The first requirement is radical vulnerability. In an EOS session, there are no protected titles, no political maneuvering, and no sacred cows. If the founder is bottlenecking client delivery, or if a veteran executive is failing to meet performance standards, it must be stated plainly. Leaders who become defensive or disguise problems to save face will destroy the effectiveness of the room.
The second requirement is absolute transparency with operational numbers. We cannot build an accurate Scorecard or establish measurable Rocks if leadership hoards data or presents vanity metrics. You must be willing to put actual financial performance, operational conversion rates, and employee retention figures on the whiteboard.
The third requirement is complete team alignment around execution. Every member of the leadership team must attend all session days in person, without exception. Arriving late, leaving early to handle client fire drills, or checking email during breaks breaks the momentum of the room. You must also agree that once a decision is made through IDS, every leader supports that decision publicly outside the room, regardless of their initial stance during the debate. If your team cannot make these commitments, you are not ready for an implementation.
