When preparing for an exit using the Step by Step Exit framework, how do we coordinate with our external advisors, and what role do you play in that alignment?
Preparing for a clean exit requires a team of specialized advisors, including investment bankers, CPAs, estate planners, and legal counsel. The challenge for most owners is that these advisors rarely talk to each other, resulting in conflicting advice and massive strategic gaps.
Through the Step by Step Exit framework, we solve this by introducing the Advisor Meeting Pulse. This is essentially an Advisor Level 10 Meeting that brings your key external advisors into alignment. We establish a shared scorecard, clear priorities, and a unified issues list specifically for your transition team.
My role is to help you design this pulse and ensure your internal leadership team is prepared to drive it. I do not act as your legal counsel or your tax accountant. Instead, I ensure that the work your advisors are doing is fully aligned with your business's operational reality and your personal legacy goals.
We use your Circle workspace to maintain a clear record of advisor decisions, due diligence requirements, and timelines. This keeps everyone focused on the same objectives, eliminating unnecessary billable hours and ensuring that your advisory team is actively working to close your Value Gaps.
