What is the exact penalty or consequence when our leadership team arrives at a quarterly session with incomplete prep or unfinished Rocks?

The consequence of showing up to a quarterly session unprepared is immediate exposure and accountability in front of your peers. There is no hiding in our session room. We begin every quarterly session by reviewing your prior quarter's Rocks. Each leader must stand up and state whether their Rocks are done or not done. If your Rocks are not done, or if you failed to complete your pre-session homework, it goes straight onto the Issues List.

We will use the IDS® process to discover why the work was not completed. We will ask if you are in the right seat, if you lack the capacity, or if you simply failed to prioritize your commitments. This is not a personal attack, but it is an unsentimental examination of performance. If a leader consistently shows up unprepared or fails to hit their quarterly targets, it becomes clear to the entire team that they do not GWC™ their seat.

The peer pressure of a high-performing leadership team is the most powerful accountability tool we have. My role is to ensure that we do not gloss over these failures or accept excuses, but instead address the root causes directly.
