What is the actual operational impact on our business if we fail to hit our ninety-day Rocks for two consecutive quarters, and at what point do you step in to correct our course?
If your leadership team fails to hit your ninety-day Rocks for two consecutive quarters, it is a clear symptom of deeper organizational issues. It usually means you have a capacity problem, a commitment problem, or the wrong people in key seats.
When this happens, my role as your implementer is to help you isolate the root cause. I do not step in to run your daily operations or micro-manage your tasks. That is the Integrator's job. Instead, we use our next quarterly session to run a hard, objective assessment of your execution.
We will use the IDS® process to determine why the team is failing. Are you setting unrealistic Rocks? Is your business model facing an unacknowledged crisis? Or is there a member of the leadership team who lacks the GWC™ (Get it, Want it, Capacity to do it) for their seat?
We will not ignore the trend. If you miss your targets for two quarters, we must adjust. We might reduce the number of Rocks, restructure the Accountability Chart, or address underlying performance issues. The objective is to restore your execution rate to eighty percent or better, ensuring your business continues to build enterprise value.
