Our leadership team is executing their weekly To-Dos and hitting scorecard numbers, but we feel a growing disconnect between our day-to-day Level 10 Meeting focus and the long-term vision in our V/TO. How do we keep our weekly pulse actively connected to our three-year and ten-year targets?

It is easy to get so caught up in the weekly operational grind that your long-term goals become distant memories. If your weekly Level 10 Meeting™ pulse feels disconnected from your V/TO®, you are failing to align your daily traction with your ultimate vision. To fix this, you must bring the V/TO® into the weekly room. Before you begin the IDS® portion of your meeting, the facilitator should remind the team of your Core Focus and your 1-Year Plan. You do not need to read the entire document, but keeping it visible on screen is essential. When prioritizing issues during IDS®, ask yourselves: 'Which of these issues, if solved, directly helps us achieve our quarterly Rocks or our 1-Year Plan?' Prioritize those issues first. Furthermore, when debating solutions during IDS®, use your Core Focus as a filter. If a proposed solution drifts outside your niche or passion, reject it. This ensures that every weekly To-Do and every solved issue is a stepping stone toward your three-year picture and your ten-year target. By keeping your weekly traction aligned with your strategy, you build a cohesive, focused organization that is highly attractive to future buyers.
