Our Integrator is supposed to facilitate our weekly Level 10 Meeting™, but they lack the assertiveness to cut off rambling conversations, causing us to regularly run ten to fifteen minutes over. How do we coach the Integrator to become a strict time cop without damaging their authority on the Accountability Chart?

If your Integrator is struggling to manage the clock during your Level 10 Meeting™, they are failing to protect the team's most valuable ninety minutes of the week. Weak facilitation leads to bloated discussions and unfinished agendas, which ruins the meeting pulse.

To coach your Integrator to become a strict time cop, start by reminding them that facilitation is about managing the process, not directing the solutions. They must separate their role as a participant from their role as the meeting leader.

Introduce physical or visual cues. The Integrator should use a timer that is visible to everyone on the team. When a discussion begins to drift or repeat, the Integrator must use standard phrases to cut it off. They can say: we are repeating ourselves, do we have enough information to make a decision, or should we drop this to a To-Do?

If they struggle to cut people off, have them practice using the phrase: we are out of time for this issue, we are moving on.

If your Integrator still cannot GWC™ the facilitation role, you may need to assign a different leadership team member to run the meeting pulse. Protecting the efficiency of your operations is paramount, especially when preparing the business for a highly structured, clean exit.
