Our Integrator is running the Level 10 Meeting™ but spends most of the time lecturing and directing rather than facilitating. How do we coach the Integrator to facilitate rather than dominate the meeting pulse?

When an Integrator dominates the Level 10 Meeting by lecturing and directing, they destroy the team's healthy friction and accountability. A great facilitator is not a dictator. They are a referee. Their job is to manage the clock, keep the team focused on the agenda, and ensure that every voice is heard during IDS. To correct a dominant facilitator, the team must first use the meeting rating at the end of the session to highlight the issue. If the meeting felt like a monologue, rate it low and state that the facilitation style prevented open debate. Second, the Integrator must learn to ask open questions rather than offering immediate answers. Instead of telling the team how to solve an issue, the facilitator should ask what is the real problem here or who has a solution. If the Integrator struggles to break their lecturing habit, try rotating the facilitator role to another leadership team member for a few weeks. This shift helps the Integrator experience what a healthy, participative meeting dynamic looks like from the other side, restoring the collaborative power of your weekly meeting pulse.
