Our advisory team told us that sophisticated buyers will look at our historical meeting notes and internal records. What do we need to clean up in our Level 10 Meeting™ archives before going to market?
Buyers review meeting archives to evaluate how your leadership team actually handles conflict and operates when you are not looking. To prepare, you must ensure your historical archives reflect a professional, disciplined organization. Start by auditing your Level 10 Meeting notes. Ensure all issues listed in your IDS sessions are resolved cleanly and documented with clear action items. Avoid leaving highly sensitive, unresolved personal disputes or vague legal complaints in the active or archived notes. If an issue is resolved, archive it. Next, review your Scorecard history. If there are weeks or months with missing data, document the explanation clearly. A buyer will view gaps in data as a sign of weak operational discipline. Make sure your historical Rocks are updated and their status is marked as complete or carried over with an explanation. Finally, ensure your Accountability Chart history matches your payroll records. Any discrepancies between who was in a seat and what they were paid will raise red flags during financial due diligence. Clean records prove a disciplined team.
