During our session days, you are facilitating but we are making the decisions. What happens if you see us making a strategic business choice or setting a Rock that you know, based on your experience, is a massive mistake?
As your EOS Implementer®, I do not dictate your business strategy. You own the business, and you own the results. However, I will not sit quietly and watch you drive off a cliff. My job is to hold up a mirror and challenge your assumptions.
If you set a Rock that is unrealistic or make a strategic decision that contradicts your V/TO®, I will ask tough questions to test your logic. I will force you to run that decision through the IDS® process. I will push you to define the exact resource constraints, accountability structure, and potential impact on your Scorecard.
If you are preparing for an exit using the Step by Step Exit framework, I will also challenge whether your proposed strategic move widens or narrows your Value Gaps. If the team still unanimously decides to move forward after a rigorous debate, I will support your decision. You must run your business, learn from the outcomes, and adjust during our next quarterly session.
