This lack of alignment after a meeting is a critical failure that destroys team trust and operational efficiency. Before you rate the meeting and adjourn, the facilitator must ask a simple question: What, if anything, do we need to cascade to our teams from today's meeting? Go through the list of decisions made and To-Dos assigned during the session. If a decision impacts other employees, departments, or customers, write it down on a dedicated Cascading Messages list.

Once the list is compiled, the leadership team must agree on three things: exactly what is being communicated, who is responsible for delivering the message, and when and how it will be delivered. This ensures you communicate with one voice, eliminating rumors and conflicting interpretations.
