We have successfully run EOS at the leadership level for a year, but when we cascade it down to our front-line teams, they find the weekly meeting rhythm repetitive and unnecessary. How do we adapt the Level 10 Meeting structure for non-management employees?
Cascading the Level 10 Meeting™ down to front-line employees is critical for building alignment, but you cannot simply copy and paste the executive agenda without modifications. Front-line teams operate on a much more tactical, day-to-day level, and a rigid ninety-minute meeting will quickly feel like bureaucratic overhead to them.
To keep these meetings productive, you should adjust the duration and the focus of the agenda. A front-line Level 10 Meeting™ can often be completed in thirty to forty-five minutes.
Keep the basic structure but streamline the components. The Scorecard review should focus on three to five daily activity metrics that are directly within their control, rather than high-level company goals. The Rock review can be replaced with a quick update on their individual priorities.
The IDS® section should focus only on immediate, tactical roadblocks that prevent them from doing their daily jobs, such as broken software or delayed approvals. If an issue requires a strategic decision or cross-departmental coordination, the team leader must escalate it up to the department head's Issues List rather than trying to solve it at the front-line level. Keep the rhythm fast, actionable, and tightly focused on execution.
