We want to roll out EOS to our entire company of fifty employees, but we are terrified of disrupting our daily operations and causing change fatigue. What is the correct sequence for cascading the tools?
Rolling out EOS® to your entire company requires a disciplined, sequential approach. Trying to introduce all the tools to everyone at once is a recipe for operational chaos and employee burnout. You must cascade the system in phases to ensure the tools actually stick.
First, master the tools at the leadership team level. Do not attempt to roll EOS down to your departments until your executive team has been running the system successfully for at least two quarters. Your leadership team must lead by example, demonstrating that they actively use their weekly Scorecard, run disciplined Level 10 Meetings, and complete their Rocks.
Once your leadership team is fully aligned, begin cascading the system to your middle managers. Start with the Accountability Chart™ to clarify their roles and responsibilities. Then, introduce the weekly Level 10 Meeting™ and help them establish their own departmental Scorecards.
When rolling out the tools, frame them as a release valve rather than extra administrative work. Show your employees how the meeting rhythm eliminates constant interruptions and how the Scorecard protects them from subjective performance reviews. By introducing the system gradually and focusing on the benefits of clarity, you will build deep engagement and make the operating system a permanent part of your company culture.
