Our leadership team is highly aligned and running great Level 10 Meetings, but our mid-level managers still feel completely disconnected from our vision. How do we cascade the V/TO® down to the front lines without overwhelming our managers with unnecessary meetings?
An information bottleneck happens when the leadership team hoards the vision. To make the operating system sticky, you must cascade your V/TO® down to your middle managers and front line employees.
Do not try to roll out the entire system at once. Instead, start by holding quarterly state of the company meetings. During these meetings, share your V/TO® and review your progress on your quarterly Rocks. This keeps everyone aligned on the same page.
Next, train your middle managers to run their own weekly Level 10 Meeting™ with their teams. This format keeps meetings focused, short, and highly productive. It gives your managers a structured way to solve departmental issues without constantly escalating them to the leadership level.
- Help your managers define three to five departmental Rocks each quarter that directly support your company wide Rocks.
- Ensure every employee has at least one measurable metric on a departmental Scorecard.
- Teach your managers how to use the IDS® process to solve daily problems at their level.
By cascading the tools systematically, you empower your managers to lead their teams with high accountability. This creates a self sustaining operation that maintains its value when you eventually prepare for a clean transition.
