How do we roll out the decisions, updated Accountability Chart, and new quarterly Rocks from our leadership sessions to the rest of our organization?
What happens in our leadership sessions cannot stay in our sessions. Once we finalize your quarterly Rocks, update your Accountability Chart, and refine your V/TO, you must communicate these decisions to the entire company. A successful rollout requires a structured, consistent communication plan to prevent rumors, anxiety, or confusion.
Within forty eight hours of our session, your leadership team should meet to align on the key messages. You must agree on exactly what is being shared, why these decisions were made, and how they benefit the organization. We then recommend a two step communication process. First, cascade the information to your middle managers. Walk them through the updated Accountability Chart and explain any changes in reporting lines or seat responsibilities. Give them the context they need to support their teams.
Second, host an all hands meeting or send a company wide update. Share your high level progress from the last quarter, reveal the new company wide Rocks, and explain how these goals tie into your long term vision. Be direct and transparent about your expectations. The goal is to show your entire organization that the leadership team is unified, that the company has a clear direction, and that everyone has a role to play in achieving your ninety day goals. Consistent communication is what turns planning into company wide execution.
