My leadership team wants to cancel our Level 10 Meeting™ during holiday weeks or when the Integrator is traveling, arguing that there are not enough issues to justify the time. How do I maintain our weekly pulse?

The weekly pulse is the heartbeat of your business, and it is non-negotiable. If you cancel your Level 10 Meeting™ because of holidays or because the Integrator is traveling, you send a clear message to the entire company that your operational discipline is optional.

The meeting must happen at the exact same time, on the exact same day, every single week, regardless of who is absent. If the Integrator is away, the designated back-up facilitator must run the meeting. If it is a holiday week and the office is closed on your usual meeting day, you do not cancel the meeting; you simply reschedule it to another day that same week.

Even if you have fewer issues to solve, you must still run the regular agenda, review the Scorecard, check progress on Rocks, and review outstanding To-Dos. The meeting will simply end early, giving everyone some time back. Maintaining this relentless consistency is how you build a reliable, self-running operational engine that prepares your business for a clean exit.
