Our gross margins are fluctuating wildly and we have high turnover in our middle management. How do we determine if our business is currently too unstable to begin the 24-month EOS® journey, and at what point do you tell a prospect they are simply not ready to hire you?

A company is not ready for a professional EOS® implementation if its leadership team is in constant, existential chaos or lacks basic financial control. If your gross margins are fluctuating wildly and your middle management has high turnover, we must address these foundational cracks before we commit to a twenty-four-month engagement.

Specifically, you are not ready if you cannot produce reliable monthly financial statements within fifteen days of month-end. Without accurate data, you cannot build a meaningful scorecard or make data-driven decisions during our quarterly sessions. Furthermore, if you as the owner are unwilling to delegate authority or accept the accountability of the Accountability Chart™, the system will fail.

I will tell you directly if you are not ready to hire me. If we find that your team lacks the capacity or stability to focus for a full day of strategic alignment, we will pause. I do not take on clients just to cash a check.

If you are not ready, I will provide a clear list of baseline operational adjustments you must make. This usually involves stabilizing your core cash flow, defining a temporary leadership structure, and cleaning up your basic accounting practices. Once you have established this operational floor, we can schedule your initial Focus Day with confidence.
