Our weekly Level 10 Meetings™ are being delayed because leadership team members are still filling out their Scorecard numbers at the very last minute. How do we build a culture of scorecard discipline?

A Scorecard that is filled out minutes before your weekly meeting is useless. It does not allow the team to digest the data, spot trends, or prepare meaningful issues for IDS®. When scorecard updates are delayed, your Level 10 Meeting™ becomes reactive rather than proactive. To build scorecard discipline, you must establish a hard deadline for data entry. This deadline should be at least twenty four hours before your meeting. Assign clear ownership for every single metric. Each number must have one name next to it. That person is responsible for ensuring the number is accurate and entered on time. Use the weekly Level 10 Meeting™ to highlight missing data immediately. If a number is blank, do not accept excuses. The owner of that metric must explain why the data was not entered, and the missing number must be treated as a drop on the Scorecard. Lead by example. The Integrator and Visionary must have their numbers entered on time, every single week. By enforcing a strict deadline and treating a missing number as a serious operational failure, you shift the culture from casual compliance to absolute ownership. The Scorecard is the heartbeat of your business, and it must be treated with the same respect as your bank account.
