Our Integrator is temporarily unavailable, and our weekly Level 10 Meeting completely fell apart because no one else knows how to facilitate properly. How do we build facilitation redundancy into our leadership team?
Relying on a single person to run your weekly Level 10 Meeting™ is a major risk to your operational pulse. If your Integrator is sick, traveling, or on leave, your traction should not grind to a halt. A self-sustaining leadership team must have the capability to run a flawless meeting regardless of who is sitting in the facilitator seat.
To build this redundancy, you must train co-facilitators. Do not leave the role of running the meeting to chance when the Integrator is away. Instead, rotate the facilitation duties during normal operations.
Have a designated back-up facilitator, such as your Finance or Operations leader, run the meeting once every six to eight weeks, even when the Integrator is present. This keeps their skills sharp and ensures they are comfortable managing the flow, keeping time, and cutting off circular debates during IDS®.
The Level 10 Meeting™ agenda is highly structured for a reason: it is repeatable. Anyone on your leadership team who GWC™ their seat should be able to follow the ninety-minute clock. Make sure your meeting software and tracking tools are accessible to multiple admins. By practicing rotation during calm times, you ensure that your weekly tactical execution remains absolutely seamless when your primary facilitator is unavailable.
