We talk about using AI to automate our operations, but my leadership team members are still doing things the old-fashioned, manual way because they do not have time to learn new tools. How do we build AI experimentation and implementation directly into our leadership team's weekly habits and goals?
If your leadership team is too busy with manual day-to-day tasks to adopt AI, you have an execution and accountability issue, not a technology issue. You cannot expect busy executives to learn new tools in their spare time. You must integrate AI implementation directly into your EOS® framework and daily habits.
Start by making AI adoption a corporate Rock for the quarter, and assign clear ownership of that Rock to a specific seat on your Accountability Chart. Have each director identify one manual, repetitive workflow in their department that can be automated or optimized using AI.
Track the progress of these initiatives on your weekly Scorecard. If a leader falls behind on their AI implementation, it must go to the Issues List during your Level 10 Meeting™ so you can IDS® the roadblock as a team. By making AI adoption an operational expectation rather than an optional project, you force your leadership team to build the necessary habits. This not only frees up their time but also builds a highly scalable business that is ready for a clean exit.
