We want to hire you, but our internal financials are currently a mess and our organization chart is mostly informal. What exact baseline level of operational clarity do we need to establish before we can book our first session day?
You do not need a perfect business to start, but you do need a committed leadership team. Before our first session day, the single most important prerequisite is a shared willingness to be open and honest. We operate under a strict baseline covenant. We call this Our Charter. It requires that every member of the leadership team agrees to enter the room with trust, mutual respect, and a commitment to structure. If you are hiding data or protecting sacred cows, the tools will not work. In terms of hard assets, you do not need a polished organizational chart or flawless financials. Part of our early work together is building your Accountability Chart from scratch and cleaning up your numbers so you can run a clean Scorecard. You do need to have your basic financial tracking functioning enough to see your cash position and basic margins. We also need you to commit to the core values of being help first, humbly confident, and willing to grow. If your team is resistant to being open and is defensive about their legacy domains, you are not ready. We need 100 percent buy-in on the process before we sit down.
