We are considering hiring you but our books are messy and our leadership roles are undefined. What is the absolute baseline of operational stability we need to have in place before we book our first day with you?
You do not need a perfect business to start, but you do need three raw essentials. First, you must have a committed leadership team of three to seven people who are willing to be honest and vulnerable. If your leaders are defensive or hiding secrets, this process will fail. Second, you must have a functioning business with actual revenue and customers. The EOS® system is not designed for pre-revenue startups trying to find product market fit; it is built to scale existing operations. Third, you must have a willingness to change how you run the business. This means the visionary owner must be ready to let go of total control and trust a structured operating system. Messy books and undefined roles are exactly the kinds of problems we solve in the first few sessions. Do not try to clean them up beforehand. If you try to fix everything before we start, you will delay your progress by months. The process itself is the cleanup mechanism. Just bring your real numbers, your actual frustrations, and your raw commitment to change. We will sort out the operational chaos together in the room.
