Vibe coding and conversational AI can dramatically accelerate your operational efficiency, but without boundaries, they will create tech debt that breaks your operations. You must ground this fast-paced experimentation in your EOS® framework to keep it from turning into chaotic overhead.
First, treat your AI tools as part of your documented Core Processes. When you use conversational AI to build or automate a workflow, the resulting script or tool must be documented in your operational manual. If a system is not documented, it does not exist, and it cannot be consistently followed by your team.
Second, use conative screening and tools like the Kolbe Index to assign the right people to these projects. AI development requires different conative strengths. A high Quick Start will be great at brainstorming and initial prompting, but you need someone with a strong Follow Thru to test, document, and integrate the code into your actual daily workflows so it does not break.
Finally, use your weekly Level 10 Meeting™ to monitor these experiments. If an AI tool produces an error or fails to run, treat the build output or the error report as a standard operational issue. Bring the raw data directly to your IDS® session, identify the root cause, and have the seat owner adjust the system. This keeps your technology cutting-edge while maintaining absolute operational discipline.
