Our weekly Scorecard is updated manually by five different department heads, which leads to late data and missed trends. How do we use a basic AI workflow to automate our Scorecard data collection without losing the accountability of the measurables?
Automating your Scorecard can save hours of administrative work, but you must not let technology destroy individual accountability. The foundational rule of the EOS Scorecard is that one single person must own each measurable. If an AI tool pulls the data and populates the spreadsheet automatically, the owner of that metric can easily become detached from the numbers. To avoid this disconnect, use AI to aggregate the raw data from your various platforms, such as your CRM, billing software, and customer support tool, and compile it into a draft report. However, do not let the AI publish it directly to the leadership team. Instead, the person accountable for that metric must review the automated draft, verify its accuracy, and manually input or approve the final number before the weekly Level 10 Meeting. This workflow saves hours of manual data gathering while keeping the human owner completely connected to the pulse of their department. It ensures the data is on time while maintaining strict accountability.
