We have introduced automated AI client support, but we need someone to own the tedious daily seat of monitoring prompt performance, auditing logs, and updating training datasets. None of our leadership team members want this boring seat. How do we assign accountability for this vacant role?

On your Accountability Chart, every single seat must have one clear name accountable for it. If a seat is vacant because it is tedious or undesirable, you cannot simply leave it empty or split it loosely among the team. That is a recipe for operational failure.

To solve this, you have three clear options. First, an existing leadership team member must take temporary accountability for the seat. They must fully GWC it, even if they do not love the daily tasks. They will be accountable for the results, even if they outsource some of the execution. Second, you can combine these tasks with an existing lower-level seat if the capacity exists. Third, you can hire a fractional specialist or an external contractor to sit in that seat.

Even if you outsource the work, the seat remains on your Accountability Chart, and you must hold that external resource accountable using your weekly Level 10 Meeting metrics. Ultimately, if this automated infrastructure is critical to your exit valuation, you must treat this seat with the same seriousness as your sales or finance seats. One person must own it, run the scorecard metrics, and ensure the work gets done.
