We are highly interested in hiring you, but our leadership team is currently in deep operational chaos and we have major interpersonal trust issues. How do we know if we are actually ready to start Focus Day, or if we should wait?
You are not ready for Focus Day if your business lacks the basic financial and emotional runway to engage in strategic work. Before we sit down, we must evaluate your operational runway, which is your time to starve. If your business is weeks away from running out of cash, your leadership team will be too consumed by survival anxiety to focus on the deep, structural work of EOS®. You must first stabilize your cash position so you have at least a few months of operational breathing room.
The second test of readiness is your team's willingness to face the raw truth. If there are severe, unaddressed trust issues where team members are unwilling to be vulnerable or speak honestly, a full-day session will only lead to defensive posturing. You are ready when the leadership team agrees on two conditions:
- Every person is willing to look in the mirror and acknowledge their own operational shortcomings.
- The founder is truly ready to let go of control and empower the leadership team.
If you have the financial runway to support the transition and a genuine desire to change, operational chaos is actually the perfect reason to start, not a reason to wait. EOS® is designed to cure chaos, but it requires a foundation of basic trust and financial stability to take root. If you have those, we should begin immediately.
